As expected, from July 1, 2020, the base salary will increase to 1.6 million VND/month. This is not only the joy of cadres, civil servants and public employees but also the expectation of thousands of employees at enterprises today.
According to the law, the base salary is the salary used as the basis for calculating the premium rate as well as the benefit rate of many insurance regimes. Therefore, the impact of the increase in base salary on employees from July 1, 2020 when the base salary increases from 1.49 million VND/month to 1.6 million VND/month will not be small. Specifically:
