Information from the Vietnam Social Security said that from July 1, the regional minimum wage was adjusted to increase according to Decree No. 38\/2022\/ND-CP of the Government.\u00a0Therefore, the maximum level of unemployment benefit also increases, up to a maximum of 23.4 million VND\/month.<\/span><\/p>\n

Employees who are paying unemployment insurance premiums are entitled to unemployment benefits when they fully meet the conditions specified in Article 49 of the Employment Law 2013, with the monthly unemployment allowance paid in accordance with the provisions of Article 49 of this Law. Article 50 of the Employment Law 2013.<\/span><\/p>\n

Specifically, the monthly unemployment benefit allowance is equal to 60% of the average monthly salary on which unemployment insurance premiums are based for the 6 preceding months before unemployment.<\/span><\/p>\n

For employees subject to the salary regime prescribed by the State, the maximum benefit level shall not exceed 5 times the base salary.\u00a0Because the applied base salary is 1.49 million VND\/month, the maximum monthly unemployment allowance is 7.45 million VND\/month.<\/span><\/p>\n

For employees who pay unemployment insurance premiums according to the salary regime decided by the employer, the level of enjoyment shall not exceed 5 times the regional minimum salary as prescribed by the Labor Code at the time of termination of the labor contract or contract work.<\/span><\/p>\n

In particular, the regional minimum wage from July 1 is applied in accordance with the provisions of Decree 38\/2022\/ND-CP, specifically as follows: Region I: 4.68 million VND\/month;\u00a0Region II: 4.16 million VND\/month;\u00a0Region III: 3.64 million VND\/month;\u00a0Region IV: 3.25 million VND\/month.<\/span><\/p>\n

Therefore, the maximum monthly unemployment allowance for employees who pay unemployment insurance premiums according to the salary regime decided by the employer will be as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n

+ The maximum benefit level in Region I is 23.4 million VND\/month.\u00a0(Currently, 22.1 million VND\/month)<\/span><\/p>\n

+ The maximum benefit level in Region II is 20.8 million VND\/month.\u00a0(Currently, 19.6 million VND\/month)<\/span><\/p>\n

+ The maximum benefit level in Region III is VND 18.2 million\/month.\u00a0(Currently, 17.15 million VND\/month)<\/span><\/p>\n

+ The maximum benefit level in Region IV is 16.25 million VND\/month.\u00a0(Currently, 15.35 million VND\/month)<\/span><\/p>\n

Unemployment insurance policy has been applied since January 1, 2009.\u00a0According to the latest provisions of the Employment Law, effective from January 1, 2015, unemployment insurance is expanded to the participants.\u00a0The policy includes four regimes: (1) unemployment allowance, (2) job search support, (3) vocational training support, (4) training and retraining support, and vocational skill improvement. to maintain jobs for workers.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the Vietnam Social Insurance, by the end of April 2022, the whole country had more than 13.64 million people participating in unemployment insurance, an increase of more than 200,000 people compared to the end of 2021, equaling nearly 80% of the total number of unemployment insurance premiums. compulsory social insurance participants.<\/span><\/p>\n

Compared to the labor force in age, the number of people participating in unemployment insurance reached 26.97%.\u00a0It can be seen that unemployment insurance policy is increasingly attractive, so the number of participants should gradually increase.<\/span><\/p>\n
